On September 2,  Consul General Liu Hongmei attended the welcome dinner jointly organized by Khon Kaen 24 Overseas Chinese Groups and Association of Chinese Schools in Northeastern Thailand. Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen, Mayor of Khon Kaen City, Deputy Mayor of Maha Sarakham City, Chairman of Khon Kaen 24 Overseas Chinese Groups, Chairman of Association of Chinese Schools in Northeastern Thailand and more than 500 guests attended the welcome dinner.

Consul General Liu appreciated Khon Kaen Overseas Chinese Groups and Association of Chinese Schools for their warm welcome, and expressed that she would continue to serve the overseas Chinese in the consular area, gather the overseas Chinese’s capabilities and intelligence, guided by the important consensus of the two heads of states on building a China-Thailand community with a shared future, actively promote exchanges and cooperation between China and Northeastern Thailand in various fields, further deepen the friendship between China and Thailand.

All the representatives warmly welcomed Consul General Liu to her assumption of office, and expressed that they would continue to cooperate closely with the Chinese Consulate General to promote continuous development of Chinese education in Northeastern Thailand, contribute to prosperity and development of China-Thailand relationship.

Before the dinner, Consul General Liu also met with overseas Chinese groups from other provinces.
