On September 16,  Consul General Liu Hongmei attended the 12th Chinese Academic Competition of Chinese Schools in Northeastern Thailand. More than 600 people participated in the competition, including Deputy Governor of Buriram Province, leaders and representatives from the Private School Education Committee of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, the Buriram Provincial Education Bureau, the Association of Chinese Schools in Northeastern Thailand, and 19 Chinese schools. The competition produced awards for dancing, singing, speech, calligraphy, painting, etc.

Consul General Liu affirmed the long-term positive contributions of Chinese schools in Northeastern Thailand to promote Chinese language teaching and Chinese culture heritage, and encouraged these Chinese schools to persevere. The Chinese Consulate General will continue to support Chinese schools in Chinese education through the "Consul General Scholarship" and promote China-Thailand educational exchanges and cooperation to move forward.

Before the competition, Consul General Liu also had a discussion with the Association of Chinese Schools in Northeastern Thailand and met with Chinese teacher volunteers and international student representatives who participated in the review.
