On November 25, 2023, Consul General Liu Hongmei went to Udon Thani to meet with Governor WanCha. The two sides exchanged views on deepening cooperation between China and Thailand at the local level.

Consul General Liu pointed out that Udon Thani Province enjoys a favorable geographical location, being situated in the center of the Indo-China Peninsula and along the China-Thailand railway. It can continue to leverage its regional advantages and tap into the potential for cooperation. The Consulate General is willing to work together with Udon Thani Province to actively promote further progress in economic, trade, tourism, cultural, and Chinese language education cooperation between the two countries and at the local level, making positive contributions to the building of the China-Thailand Community with a Shared Future.

Governor WanCha expressed that Udon Thani has a favorable business environment and geographical advantages, and looks forward to jointly promoting pragmatic cooperation in various fields with China, taking the bilateral relationship to new height.
